The training was prepared and conducted in period June to October 2021.
The project activities included the preparation of a two-day workshop, presentations, materials, and training sessions for relevant institutions at the national and entity levels. The aim of the training was to strengthen the capacities of decision-makers and representatives of relevant ministries regarding the steps related to the identification of contaminated sites (hotspots), as well as approaches to analysis and the development of a remediation plans. The training also covered the threshold values of POPs in different media and the methods for defining them within the legal framework. Examples from the European Union were presented, and steps were outlined for the development of similar legislation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
